The Parent Television Council has filed a number of indecency complaints to the FCC not just about Family Guy but, about various TV shows including The Golden Globe Awards, Friends, Nip and Tuck, That 70's Show, Two and a Half Men, Survivor and many other well known shows. While it's no doubt TV shows sometimes take things too far, the real question is, has the Parent Television Council (or The FCC) taken things too far also?

I think that Family Guy in particulary does regularly cross boundaries however, I also believe both groups over-react. I think it should be the parents responsibility to monitor what their children do and dont watch. I also think if you don't like what you're watching...change the freakin channel people!
ReplyDeleteIm sorry but if you ask me the FCC is unconstitutional...its a good idea in theory but, thats about all its good in. If you dont like what you see, change the channel - not the show!
